DCI – Digital Cinema Initiatives Consortium of seven major Hollywood studios for initiation of a technical specification for Digital Cinema
DSM – Digital Source Master Image and audio master, which supplies a basis for the convertion into the DCDM
DCDM – Digital Cinema Distribution Master Specified universal exchange format, which is provided by the DSM. It contains the uncompressed and unencrypted image structure, audio structure and subtitle structure. The DCDM corresponds to the finished color corrected answer print.
DCP – Digital Cinema Package Contains the compressed and encrypted image and audio structure as well as, if necessary, subtitles for the digital distribution.
KDM – Key Delivery Message For delivering content keys with a specified play period to projection locations.
PCF – Projector Configuration File Contains several projector settings e.g. aspect ratio, color settings, gamma value
CINELINK Encryption at the local link between Digital Cinema player and projector
