ARRILASER 2 – The Next Generation Film Recorder

With over ninety years of experience in delivering the best possible technology for motion pictures, and more than 250 units of ARRILASER1 sold world wide, ARRI has developed the next generation of ARRILASER film recorder.  In the process of re-examining what has become the industry standard in imaging, it became clear that there are opportunities to improve the capabilities of the ARRILASER.

The ARRILASER 2 supports a sixteen bit image path and utilizes a Linux-based host. A newly designed GUI with added software modules such as the Status Monitor allows having a constant overview of the progress of each individual recorder. This new software package offers unprecedented flexibility of operation and speeds up daily operations significantly. The new top model, the ARRILASER 2 ‘HighSpeed’ provides with a maximum speed of 0.8 sec/frame in 2K and 1.3 sec/frame in 4K more than double the throughput speed of the existing ARRILASER Speed.
